About F.L.I.G.H.T.

Natalie Asemi is a medical student at TouroCOM in New York. She holds an M.P.H. from Columbia University and an M.S. from Boston University School of Medicine. She is a current AHEC Scholar with the State of New York, working to improve access to care for underserved communities. Natalie has years of multi-disciplinary experiencing that informs her approach to community engagement. She has advocated for human rights with NGOs in Washington D.C. and contributed to biomedical research efforts at Harvard Medical School, UCSF, and New York-Presbyterian. Her inspiration for active engagement with the global health community was born from vaccine research at Takeda Pharmaceuticals. She is driven to find sustainable approaches to empower global communities to access high-quality care. In her free time, Natalie loves to train for races, travel, and try new restaurants for her food blog.
