Meet the trailblazers who shaped our vision.

Isabel Fan, M.D., M.P.H.

Isabel Fan is an Anesthesiology resident at Weill Cornell Medicine. She earned her MD and MPH degrees from Columbia University, where she further honed her skills in qualitative research and sustainable community interventions. Her passion for global health began during her undergraduate studies at Northwestern University, where she minored in Global Health Studies and spent a semester abroad in Mexico City. As the first intern for F.L.I.G.H.T., Isabel led a student team in developing and executing a needs assessment project in Freetown, Sierra Leone, managing all phases—from project design and data collection abroad to analysis. Isabel is passionate about expanding access to high-quality care for underserved communities, both globally and locally. In New York City, Isabel co-led a team studying energy insecurity and has advocated for policy changes in the New York State Congress. In her free time, Isabel enjoys working out, discovering hidden-gem restaurants around the city, and tending to her rooftop garden.
